As someone brought to my attention today (thanks Gary!), these campaign club updates have been slow moving as a result of me being way to good at having too much on my plate : ) I just posted some video progress on a newer song I’m calling “Naysayer” however, and it’s in two parts given some transferring snafus I was having and, well, it never hurt to have a sequel ; ) Naturally, I'm always talking about my own music when it comes to all of my campaign efforts but I've also been wearing many other hats for a few other fabulous indie artists.
The amazingly talented Myra Flynn and I have been working hard on her sophomore release (does anyone even call it that anymore?), and I’m not only recording and engineering most of it, I’m producing it as well. This marks my first time recording artists other than myself and it’s proving to be a very rewarding experience thus far! In fact, Myra has a new holiday single she’s about to release any moment now called “Harvest” – our first collaborative song for her new album – and it’s a duet featuring yours truly ; ) Keep an eye on Myra’s progress as she is going to need all the support she can get as well: http://www.myraflynnmusic.com/thenewalbum.cfm
I’m also working with a very talented emerging artist, Francesca Blanchard, on her debut collection of songs. We’re not certain if this will be an EP-length collection or closer to a full-length collection but I’ll certainly keep everyone posted on any progress... She’s got a beautiful voice and an intimidating amount of maturity in her songwriting for someone so young... It’s truly a pleasure to be working with both artists right now and a humbling departure from my own music every once in awhile! In the meantime, I’m back in the saddle and winter always proves to be a very creative and productive time for me so I see a lot more updates in your future... Lets hope so anyway ; )
