Host A Gregory Douglass House Concert
There is no up front cost to you to host a show in your home.
House concerts have become my absolute favorite performance settings over the years. I've literally performed hundreds of concerts in peoples homes throughout the United States over the last decade of my touring career, and I've found them to be such a rewarding experience for both the audience and the performer. If you're interested in being a participating house concert host, please let me know where you’re located and what time frames would be ideal for you. You can email directly at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
What’s the advantage of being a house concert host?
You’ll have the opportunity to give your friends and loved ones an evening to remember. House concerts offer a unique and inspiring environment for folks to enjoy an intimate and unforgettable concert in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by their favorite people. It’s a chance to turn a typical dinner party or friendly gathering into a truly momentous occasion!
Why a house concert tour?
I've become more and more committed to house concerts to celebrate all the incredible people who continue to support my music. I am so grateful for the patronage I have received from so many generous backers during my Kickstarter campaign in February, 2014 to help finance this new album. You have made my music a priority in your lives, so I want to do the same for you. House concert hosts and participants will be the first to hear many of these new songs performed live, and this tour will give folks exclusive access to all the new material before the public release!
Check out last years "Home Invasion Tour 2014" radar map of all the participating hosts! What an incredible tour it was!

Check out this short video that one host used to promote a house concert to his friends to get a better idea of how they work:
What are some good reasons to host a house concert?
• You want live music at your upcoming holiday party.
• Your want to surprise your friend for their birthday... Surprise, it's Gregory Douglass!
• You want me to play all of your favorite Gregory Douglass songs.
• You live in a shoe box, but your friend has the *perfect* house for a concert.
• You live in a shoe box, but who cares – people can just sit on the floor in your living room!
• It's totally affordable and will be the most memorable concert EVER!
• Just because – why not?
How does it work?
• You provide a common space to fit your guests .
• You provide some basic snacks & beverages, or ask your guests to bring a dish to share, BYOB, etc.
• Invite your friends & loved ones and ask for a $10-20 "suggested donation" to help pay the performer (that's me)!
• The "suggested donation" method costs nothing for the host – the donations will take care me!
• We can alternatively agree on a reasonable flat fee if you don't want to charge your guests.
Do I need to pay any up-front costs?
Not at all!
Do I need a house to host a concert?
Not necessarily! If you've got a great alternative venue in mind – like a community center, art gallery, church, or otherwise – we can host a concert there instead of your living room!
How big of a space do I need to host a house concert?
Almost any space works! Most folks host concerts in their living room or whatever common space they have that is suitable for guests. I’ve performed in the smallest of spaces so don’t worry too much about space. Folks can set up folding chairs or just gather around the living room on pillows and bean bags :)
Can I host a concert in my backyard?
I've performed outdoor concerts for various yard parties and occasions, though house concerts are best enjoyed in a more intimate "listening" area. The performance tends to become more "background" music when presented in outdoor settings, so I prefer more of a living room or common room setting if possible.
Can I make special song requests?
Absolutely! You're the host, so you get the VIP treatment. Just let me know your song requests in advance so I have a chance to brush up on anything I haven't performed in awhile.
How do I promote my house concert?
I'll help you with this part and provide you with all the info you'll need to spread the word and make the most of your house concert!
What's your cancellation policy?
In the event that you should have to cancel the house concert last-minute (less than 14 days before our scheduled date), I would require a "security deposit" of $250 (half of my $500 minimum requirement) to be mailed to me at the time of cancellation. If you need to cancel or reschedule before more than 14 days ahead of time, no deposit is required.
