I won't babble on too long about and instead, let the latest vlog updates do the talking – but I'm tentatively calling the latest song "The Night" and with good reason. As this is a dream concept album, I really wanted an "anchor" song so to speak to introduce the dream world in true lullaby fashion. This song begins with a stark, music box sound that gradually builds with piano, vocals and ambient synth sounds that become "dreamier" as our main subject of the song prepares himself and inevitably, falls into a deep sleep. There will be an electronic loop that enters towards the end of the song by gradually fading in, getting louder until it comes to a sudden halt, while high piano tails off with a heavy echo effect attached. This should indicate the gradual fall into a deep sleep until the dreaming has begun, as indicated by the piano tailing off and ambient chimes will end the song and bridge into the next song. The electronic loop should remind the listener of a steady but heavy heartbeat as the subject is falling deeper and deeper into the dream world... I already have goosebumps thinking about it : )
