It's now June and indeed, a few months have passed since my last blog and vlog update in January... Yikes! Since you are V.I.P. status in my little "Release Campaign Club" I will confess to you what I wouldn't ordinarily announce publicly; times have been more trying than ever before with my career financially so I've had to put many things on hold in order to pick up the slack, including production on the new album. It's comforting to know that I'm not alone in the world of financial woes resulting from such trying economical times, but it hasn't been easy... It's given me good reason to branch out in ways that I hadn't yet dared in the past, including the launch of the new Emote Records Consulting, Production and Recording divisions. I've also launched a new live webcast series every Monday night at 9pm EST to help raise more funds for the production of the new album. The live webcast was an idea I had floating around in my head for a few years now but there's nothing quite like the pressure of making ends meet to light a fire under your ass to try new things! I am happy to report that the live webcast has been a success thus far and I now look forward to the request-based performances, chatting & special guests every Monday : ) Please check it out if you haven't already yet done so: http://www.justin.tv/gregorydouglass
The good news is that I am back in the studio and intend on having lots to report through this blog and vlog over the coming months! In fact, I've even scheduled myself into my own schedule June 21-25 for a full-on studio week with little to nothing else happening that week : ) In the meantime, I've just posted a vlog from late January so even though it's an older vlog, it will be new to you! It features an old song idea that has haunted me for years since I originally wrote the chorus in 2004 during the "Stark" sessions and I've finally finished writing it... Hopefully it's a sign of a good song having lingered this long as a strong contender for an album!
Thanks for all of your support...
Cheers,
Gregory
