I just posted a sort of video update “interjection” explaining the nature of my Campaign Club updates which goes something like this... I have collected lots of video footage documenting progress of the new album but underestimated how time consuming it would be to edit the videos together so my apologies on the lag time involved in video updates. It’s important for everyone to know that the updates will continue on throughout the summer however so, better late than never right? My hope is that you’ll find progress updates even more interesting once you’re familiar with the new album and bonus disc material and how it all came to fruition. I will continue video updates in order of how I’ve been collecting it from here on but I will try to keep blog updates as “real-time” and current as possible : )
In other real-time news, I have rearranged the album order slightly to make room for a brand new song that I wrote and added last-minute. It was inspired after a recent trip to Santa Fe, NM I made to visit my sister and it’s called “Animal” (more details about the new song in a future video update!) I also decided to opt out of a song I was going to originally include on the new album called “Instantaneous”. Unfortunately, it’s just not where I want it to be but it’s very likely to reappear on a future release once it’s in better shape : ) In fact, the verse section for the song “Madeline” from the BATTLER album was born during the TEETER album (2001) and it wasn’t until the STARK album (2005) that I found the right chorus for the idea. It wasn’t until progress on the BATTLER album that it was finally ready to be born so you never know the fate of a song!
