50 Years Young in Cape Cod

The lovely and exquisite Yo Yo Mo (Monique Citro) celebrated her 50th birthday last week, so Glen and I joined her in Cape Cod for a week of fun in the sun! Mo decided to rent a house near Provincetown with a group of about seven of us. It was a memorable week "away from it all” – and we had a gay old time!

If you haven’t experienced the wonders of Provincetown yet, I highly recommend it. It’s a magical little beach town with so much to love. We went to some drag shows (shout-out to the hilarious Dina Martina!), went dancing at, and had some of the best food I’ve had in years. We even encountered a whole herd of seals at Head of the Meadow beach in Truro. It was my first time flying Cape Air as well. It was a short 20-minute plane ride in a tiny "puddle jumper" from Boston to Provincetown with a stunning view of the cape.

It was strange not to play any music with my favorite cellist, but it was nice to have a legitimate vacation with each other. As Mo would say, “I love her more than my luggage” – and I’m thrilled we got to celebrate with her in style!
