Gregory, I'm a new fan of yours. I actually stumbled onto your "hang around" video on youtube and I fell in love. Now I can't stop listening to it, let alone get it out of my head. I just ordered your new album and I can't wait to get it! Love your music man, keep it up.

Jeff Spires - Wednesday, May 14th, 2008 1:06 AM
Why didn't I discover your music years ago? Just got Stark and again I was BLOWN AWAY!! SO I went back to cd baby and ordered pseudo-rotary and the self titled cd. Had them rushed because I can't wait to get them. I am loving Stark even more than Up and Away. (If that's possible) You are truly gifted. (Kinda jealous actually) Thank you for the beautiful music. Wishing you much success. You truly deserve it.

Fred Penner - Thursday, May 8th, 2008 12:42 AM
Hi Greg! Just wanted to tell you how amazingly talented you are! Remeber watching me play the guitar when you were just a boy? You know, the guitar that I kept hidden in a log deep in the woods? Keep up the good work! - Fred Penner

I just wanted to say how amazingly wonderful you were at Blakes in Atlanta, 4/24/08. I have the honor of including Guyton Maurice in my close circle of friends and was there to hear/support him. Your voice is mesmerizing and it's more than obvious how passionate you are about your art.
You definitely have a new fan in me. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from you.

You are amazing! I listen to "Teeter" at least once a week. I lost "If I Were a Man," but I would listen to that as frequently as well!
I had no idea that you had so many other albums until I did my research and came to this website. I definitely look forward to purchasing your other albums :).
I am a Brewster Academy alum as well, class of '07. You performed my freshman and sophmore year, great. I loved the radio shtick that you did! Great to see that you are still putting our music. Come to the Boston area and perform please!

Ben - Friday, November 30th, 2007 3:25 AM
Your music is heartbreaking in the best possible way. I saw you live for the first time in Boston last year...shit...maybe that was this year. I guess this summer then, at that concert after the pride parade and I wanted to meet you, but I was too nervous. :(

Anyway, if this ever gets to you, I hope it makes you feel good inside. Artists need to have that feeling every once in a while and I hope this gets to that place.

Your music is amazing. That's all. Have a nice day. :)

Damian in SF, CA. - Friday, November 16th, 2007 1:54 PM
I came across Gregory on LOGO and the song HANG AROUND is the refrain my life keeps coming back to, collecting itself before plunging into the lyrics of new events, people and whatever else that helps me move on in this broken heartache.

Much luck in your career.

E. Hanson - Monday, November 12th, 2007 12:43 PM
Just caught the "Hang Around" video on NewNowNext last night. So happy to see one of my all time favorite songs get some much deserved airplay. Congrats! Count on me voting daily when this hits the Çlick List polls.

Doesn't an Artist's Message Board usually contain something about the artist for other fans? Anyway, if you missed the midwest leg of Gregory's tour, you really lost out on some great music. Gregory, Thanks for The Ark personal show. Better than any house concert!

Lee - Sunday, October 14th, 2007 1:20 PM
If you ever have the urge to perform in Lyon, France, let me know. I'd be more than happy to help out in anyway I can, and of course show you the great places to hang out/be touristy ;)

I noticed on your site that you are playing at a private party at Frenchies in Ypsilanti MI. I really need to get in touch with the woman, rachel elliot, who has hosted the party. I have tried 15 or so times to get in contact with her, but to no avail. I am the event planner at Frenchies and there is a BIG issue with the chosen date. Please contact me immediately if you know how I can get in touch with her!

You were absolutely amazing when you came to our all-school. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was amazed at your work. I cannot tell you how many people have your artwork on their laptops. I have to admit, I listen to your music so much. But it's the kind of music that I'll never get bored of. Your lyrics are meaningful and your voice is incredible. I even took the extra time to purchase "Sail the Sea" off of the iTunes Music Store. That's how much I liked it! I am a current student at Brewster Academy. Seeing you made my junior year COMPLETE. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO PURCHASING WHATEVER YOU COME UP WITH NEXT!

Duane - Monday, February 5th, 2007 5:59 PM
Wow! Just discovered your music on iTunes, and I've fallen in love! I am wondering one thing, though... What are the exact lyrics to "I Wonder" on Teeter?

Donald Varela - Friday, February 2nd, 2007 10:14 PM
I'm glad your tour will bring you to New Mexico in May. I know Santa Fe is one of your favorite stops when your in New Mexico. I live in a small town to the south of Santa Fe called Roswell. I know we are not as big as Santa Fe but if your tour can make a detour we would love to have you perform here in Roswell.

Robert - Thursday, January 25th, 2007 2:40 PM

My brother gave me the new CD for my b-day in December. What a nice guy, eh?! Then last week I was driving along Main St in W'boro and "Living" came on the radio (WMWV Conway). Since then, I've heard it twice...and I only listen to the radio when I'm in my car, which isn't often. So you're defenitely in regular rotation up there. How cool is that?! All the best in '07! Michael - Sunday, November 19th, 2006 7:01 PM
The comment from Emote Records is exactly what I thought when I heard the songs. Interpretation from a different perspective is the artist doing what we expect of them and it is not always a statement on self. This is exactly why we love Gregory and his music. Fan for ever.

Emote Records Team - Saturday, November 18th, 2006 4:43 PM
In response to comments made on I-Tunes: Some of Gregory's songs are not autobiographical. He often writes from the perspective of another person. He is an observer and tries to get into the hearts and minds of those people he is observing. "Annabelle" is about his Mom from the perspective of her lover. "Sail The Sea" is written from the perspective of one of Gregory's lesbian friends about her life. Thank you for supporting Gregory's music.

Michael - Saturday, November 11th, 2006 5:33 PM
I am so excited about Up & Away, I am going to download it this evening. Stark crushed me, in a good way and Up & Away promises to put me under. Gregory, I will see you at Club Passim and in Waitsfield VT (I ski Mad River). You wont know me except bye my huge smile and intentive focus. Happy Thoughts.

Donald - Friday, November 10th, 2006 10:51 PM
Hey Gregory, just bought your new CD release "Up and Away" and I do have to say, it's amazing. I noticed that on your tour you left out New Mexico. I hope you reconsider and make a stop. Again, an amazing CD! Keep the music coming! A fan for life!

Joy - Friday, November 10th, 2006 2:48 PM
Hi, Gregory. I'm sure you don't remember me--I'm a friend of Ed's from Lowell, MA. Anyway, I've been following your progress since I met you at the Barnes & Noble in Nashua, NH. Congratulations on your new cd, which (of course) I just bought. I know this one will be simply amazing! I'm so excited to see you play on the 30th in Cambridge. I do have one little question, though. I have completely worn out my copies of 'Teeter' and 'If I Were A Man,' and I'm having a hard time tracking down new copies. Are you going to be selling those at the concert in Cambridge? Just wondering...Anyway, keep up the fabulous work--I just love introducing people to your music!

Hi! I'm doing a semester abroad in Australia, and I've learned two things:

1. The Aussies love you. You should come do a South Pacific tour sometime in February when winter is starting to get monotonous.

2. The 7-10 business days it takes for my copy of Up & Away to arrive from the States feels like an eternity. Unbearable.

Miss you, Gregory. Hope you had a good summer.

Jamie Allen - Wednesday, September 20th, 2006 4:10 PM
Hey you, I just wanted to say hello and see how you are doing. I hope that your music is going good. I am now living here in Virginia. If you get a chance e-mail me and let me know how you are doing.

Darryl - Tuesday, September 19th, 2006 8:13 PM
Gregory, We really enjoyed your performance in Roanoke on Sunday. It was night chatting with you briefly after the show. You really seem like you care about your fans. Keep that and you will go far. My best to you!

Just ordered my copy of 'Up & Away', can't wait! And boy was I surprised to find all of your albums on iTunes Switzerland... now you just need to come over to Europe - even if it's just for one house concert during vacation :-)

Hey, Welcome Back to New England! I'm glad it sounds like u had such a blast on tour. I have a question to ask you which i've been thinking about for a while and that is: Do you have a favorite song that you've written (can be from the new CD :) Anyway i'm kinda curious cuz i'm finding it real hard to pick a favorite:)

Trout - Wednesday, June 7th, 2006 7:36 PM
You are so darned cute, talented, and fun. Loved your shows in San Francisco and Portland (I'm not a stalker, I swear). You and Glen seem to be having too much fun. So much so, I wish I coulda gone on the rest of the tour with ya. All my best for a safe journey back to the east coast.

Hello GD Fans! I figured I'd stop by and give a little update on Gregory's new album. After 4 days of mixing we've just about finished 7 songs. These new songs are sounding great! With 4 more songs to go, touch ups and Mastering, we should be done by the end of next week. Please help us out by pre-ordering a copy, when available. This new record is nothing short of amazing. You guys are in for a real treat!

Anyway, it is about a 4 hr drive from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon, but if you've never been and you think you can make the time while your out there to make the drive up I recommend it highly. Safe travels to you.

So, awesome job Greg, thanks for making this your fulltime job. You really are talented. Keep writing songs like Sail the Sea and Better Life and I won't be able to stop listening. Dear Fans:
The Gregory Douglass team recently purchased a series of radio ads promoting Greg's newest release,"Stark", on WNCS--The Point (104.7). Please take a moment (or several moments) to call them (877-fmpoint) and request a song. We would like to suggest "Upside Down" or "Sail the Sea" from "Stark"; or "Valley" or "Hard" from "Teeter"; or "I Wanted To Run" from Pseudo-Rotary. Thank you for your continued support. We truly appreciate what you do for Greg.

Jess B - Sunday, January 29th, 2006 10:44 PM

I was driving home on a dark December evening a month ago when "Upside Down" came sparkling out of the car speakers. It's been ages since a song riveted my attention so completely. Thank you for such a compelling musical memory, and great success to you!

Kristian Kristensen - Monday, January 9th, 2006 8:57 AM

Greg, I've plugged you on all my online stuff- AIM, the ridiculous facebook site, and anywhere else I can spread the word! :-) It's been too long since I heard you live... only a couple of months, but I've been addicted to Stark and Teeter AGAIN lately... anyway, hopefully I'll make it to a show soon, HUGS to you!

Greg, GREAT job at key bank on the 31st. I enjoyed it so much. You continue to amaze me.

Lynn - Thursday, January 5th, 2006 9:56 PM
I just bought Pseudo-Rotary at Barnes & Nobles in Burlington....so Greg's CD's are out there, but sometimes are hard to find. But I feel like it's just a matter of time and his music will be everywhere. A couple of years ago, I borrowed a "Cream of Vermont" CD (a compilation of VT artists) and the song on the album that stood out from all the rest was Greg's song "Valley". It blew me away! It was the first song I'd ever heard of his and I've been a fan ever since, saw him at Battery Park a couple of years ago and can't wait to see him again. The passion in his music is just what we need in the music world today where sometimes there is nothing new worth listening to. Keep singing Greg because we are listening!

Tiana - Wednesday, January 4th, 2006 11:44 AM
To Help with the question that Glory was answering... I have seen Greg's CD's in the store POP MUSIC in downtown Burlington if you would like to check there. I saw Stark and Teeter there but there should be more now. Check it out!

Dear Fans:
The question was asked "Why isn't Greg's music in stores?" Greg is an independent artist. It's very difficult to get distribution when you are not signed to a label. Emote Records is Greg's own Vermont label. Some Vermont stores are willing to sell Greg's CD's. So, he must depend on selling CD's online and at his shows. Thanks for your continued support.
Glory (Mom)

Gregory, My wife and I were at the Blue Moon in Warren VT Saturday night. We had driven up from South Kingstown RI earlier in the day to look at a tohnhouse on the MT. What a treat when we came out of the Flatbread and drove across the road to the Blue Monn only to find you playing your music...WOW! We were very please to find such a fine talent at a small restaurant/bar so close to Sugarbush. We both love live acoustic music like yours, and you really made us smile. Thanks for helping us to have a wonderful evening in the great state of VT.

Ps. I share your love for Patty Griffin and really enjoyed the song that you wrote about her...as well as your version of her tune. Patty will be playing the Newport Folk Fest this Aug. We're going to her and we think that you should come on down and go to see her with us. Maybe you could do a House Concert for us at the same time.

Good luck and best wishes for your continued success, you have 2 new fans to help spread the word!!

Bob & Gwen

Mr. Gregorchuck - Thursday, June 2nd, 2005 4:03 PM
WOW..I need to call you!

Jessica Chauvin - Wednesday, June 1st, 2005 4:02 PM
Hey Greg! Just thought I'd drop a line and say "hey" I pre-ordered your cd today. I know, I'm a bit of a slacker should have done it long ago, but atleast I did it. I also ordered a new copy of Teeter as mine has finally been played to much. So I guess you'll have some cd's you need to sign for me so that they'll be worth $$$$ someday! :) Hope I see you soon. Love ya!

Matt Keir - Tuesday, May 24th, 2005 9:35 AM
Whew ... Okay , I'm more than a month late with the thank you message for the house concert in April. Time does go by much too quickly. Anyhow, just wanted to say thanks again for a wonderful evening. The concert was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday . You're a great guy and have wonderful talent(s).

For anyone who is hesitant about the house concert idea, please don't be. It's a unique opportunity made even more memorable by Greg's great personality and incredible artistry . Okay .. enough gushing ... I've gotta get back to work !

Who is this cheesy Gwendolyn girl? Oh, it's your sister! Good thing she put that in parentheses! What a coincidence my beautiful Gwendolyn posted just a day before I. Hello there, Gregory. Tonight I was stumbling through some old letters and found one from you. It brought back some great memories and so I just wanted to drop a note to say hello all the way from AZ. It appears that things are going great for you and your art continues to take my breath away. Thanks for sharing. Maybe some day I'll show you mine. Til then...

GWENDOLYN ( GREGORY'S SISTER) - Wednesday, May 18th, 2005 7:35 PM
